Frequently asked questions

Are anchors and aliases supported?

Yes. Anchors (&), aliases (*) and merge keys (<<) are resolved in the JSON output.

What about files with several documents?

Documents separated by --- are combined into a JSON array, one item per document.

Why is "no" converted to false?

That is YAML 1.1 behaviour. The default YAML 1.2 mode keeps yes, no, on and off as text.
